I wish Facchinetti could’ve stayed longer at Valentino. Her clothes were so elegant but refreshing as well. i can’t believe people don’t like her work i think its pretty stunning. She did capture Valentino in her work but also brought in her aesthetic which is so chic and confident.
paolo will never be able to do what facchinetti could do for the Valentino brand.
Ultimately her biggest pressure was succeeding a living male designer whose legacy is still fresh in the minds of everyone, unlike the male creative directors for the recently revived houses of Balmain and Lanvin. They have decades to skip over and an entirely new generation to bring their respective houses into, and Decarnin admits to only designing for Balmain in spirit, without replicating any of the physical motifs that Pierre used. Facchinetti forged ahead very bravely and admirably.
Gay men and women have very different visions as to what constitutes beautiful clothing for women. With Facchinetti she really has a personal passion for clothes she herself, an elegant, at times bashful woman would slip into when she has different moods. It’s not always about body-hugging and vampish. But the wives of the rich russian oligarchs and the stars, the women who will ultimately be her couture clients, are fearless, or at least need to project that. This might be too timid, too real.
what is the first piano song?..adn the version of besame mucho??
This has to be my least favorite Valentino collection.
Yeah they were. Its really sad how she was let go. I still think she did a wonderful job
she brought optimism to brand that, even with a strong a legend as garavani did not look optimistic at all. she was the best choice that could have been made for the job and its terrible that she was sacked.
she would do well at rochas, but once again, cheated out of a job that should be rightfully hers.
nice show but terrible video quality
I actually thought that her brief time at Valentino was very refreshing; she added something new to the brand and created some really beautiful pieces. While overly embellished at times, I thought that, as a whole, she gave a positive spin in what we all expect Valentino to be. I personally thought this collection was beautiful, albeit, a bit ‘heavy’ and ‘overdone’ AT TIMES.
GOOD RIDDANCE !
I think the designer who took over Mr. Garavani’s mantle
IS EITHER LAZY OR SPACED-OUT ! ! ! THIS SHOW IS A FLOP ! ! ! THE VATICAN SHOULD START CONDEMNING SHOWS TOO !!!
ugh, i adored this
SOOOOOO sad she’s not at Valentino anymore. Valentino & Co. were really awful to her.
not anymore
well she is gone now
it’s a very beautiful show indeed! It’s more about classy and aristhocracy and i think Alessandra is doing great after all.Yes she’s not Valentino, but who say it has to be..
magical,i love it
great job!
im not liking her much
i hope so, but i still this collection pales in comparison to his spring 2007 couture collection.
Yeah. I see what you mean. Just wait for the next collection. Maybe they’ll have models of different races.
