Ce soir à New-York, lundi 6 juin, auront lieu les très attendus ‘CFDA Awards 2011′, une cérémonie qui décerne les prix à ce qui ont marqué la mode cette année. Lady Gaga recevra un « Fashion Icon Awards » (Prix de l’icône de la mode), c’est ce que son styliste Nicola Formichetti avance sur Twitter, il est d’ailleurs « très excité et heureux » pour Gaga.

O please ur acting like Rick Owens invented the gothninja aesthetic. If anything i think julius is actually doing a better job than owens in terms of detailing

@vandykv You mean Kansai, but I still don’t see the connection, yes he was rock n roll but it has nothing to do with Rick Owens, maybe just in androgyny but that is very broad. And I am talking specifically about Julius, it’s nothing but an Asian rip off of Rick Owens; there is nothing original here at all.

This entire aesthetic began in Japan in the late 70s with Kansi Yamamoto, if anything Owens and Julius follow that lineage. By the way Owens is a fab designer now, but in 2003 he was like a student, just like you!
