April 3, 2008 Here’s the Grandluxe Express (Formally American Orient Express) making its way through east central Alabama. This is the « Southern Antebellum » leg of the trip. Today the train ran from Savannah, Ga to Meridian, Ms. I and a couple of other rail fans caught the train in Columbus, Ga as the train crossed over the Chattahoochee River into Alabama. I followed it to Alex City, Al. This was one tough cookie to keep up with. I was planning on getting quite a few more shots but I’m glad I got the ones I did. I had a blast following this train! Enjoy!

Let me know if you want some likns to where the tripod or camera camera can be found.
Slik is the brand of tripod and they sell the exact some model as the one I’m using now. Funny thing is my father bought this one 18 years ago and they havn’t changed a single thing about it. I guess that shows the quality and durability of their product.
Thanks again for the complement! I wish I had more time to spend with you guys. Now thinking, I didn;t even get a chance to shake your hand. Take care!
And YES I did enjoy!
VERY MUCH!
This is a great train, to bad it had to be led by Amtrash P42DC’s. Awesome coaches! Great shots from all locations! I noticed a significant change in the weather.
